A quick note: I see videos are still spreading the nonsense about the Blood Eagle method of killing people that the Vikings apparently practised. I looked into this long ago and concluded it’s just junk. It is medically impossible for someone to even live through a tiny portion of what is discussed. I’m not sure of the origins of this story, but this could not have been practised for real.
It is probably a tall tale and nothing more. Exactly why it’s told I don’t know.
