[This Chinese spy balloon had the ability to suck up eletronic communications. Well, that's nothing new. The USA, in fact the NSA, had had SPY JETS for freaking DECADES. The USA has a fleet of spy jets when I was a baby … 60 years ago … and they had FLEETS of spy ships. And all they did was fly/sail across the world just sucking in information everywhere like crazy. So this little bit of belated spying by the Dumb Chinese doesn't mean much. I had been wondering whether the US was actually electronically spying on the spy balloon itself as it floated over the USA!!! Nobody has raised that question. Perhaps this balloon was left to deliberately do its thing SO IT COULD BE SPIED ON! The US could be monitoring the Balloon's activities. Well, it turns out the really old, ancient, yet, totally awesome U2 spy planes were flying around the dumb Chinese balloon a lot! The fighter planes might not be able to reach that height but that is easy peasy for the wonderful old U2's! In fact one U2 Pilot took a selfie of himself in the cockpit with the Chinese balloon outside! The U2 is itself a spying vehicle and it too can monitor and check the Chinese spy balloon. So while the balloon should have been shot down, it is very possible that the US Military may have decided to leave the dumb Chinese device SO THAT THEY COULD SPY ON IT AND MONITOR IT!!! I'll bet you they learned a lot about it and now they even have its wreckage! So they have EVERYTHING! And the dumb Chinese have got egg on their face. Don't ever imagine the military are a bunch of dummies. Regardless of all the crybaby stuff about this balloon … the USA can play naughty games too and it does so much more than you can ever believe. Here are the Chinese retards trying stuff like this in 2023. In the late 1960s, the USA had the D-21 spy drone which could do 2,200 MPH at 90,000 feet!!! The D-21 drones were flying over China and spying on China in 1969. So this retarded Chinese balloon is no big deal. America has been-there and done-that hundreds of thousands of times, and nobody even realises it. Don't get too worried about the retarded Chinese balloon. I'll bet the Canadians and the Americans knew it was NOT DANGEROUS and so they may have decided to play with it. Remember this: By leaving the idiotic Chinese to spy on America they could watch WHERE IT GOES and WHAT it is looking for. That tells them tons of stuff. They watched this thing heading towards nuclear sites, etc. I'll bet they even warned those places beforehand and they changed their electronic behaviour before this slow-poke, dumb ass Chinese piece of crap got there. The above is a D-21 spy drone … it could fly higher than the retarded Chinese balloon which was at 70,000 feet. The D-21 could fly at 90,000 feet. And the D-21 did 2,200 MPH!!! There’s just no comparison. The Chinese are morons by comparison.

Details of Chinese ‘spy balloon’ emerge – WSJ

The downed craft was reportedly fitted with antennas that could collect communications, the outlet reports

The alleged Chinese “spy balloon,” shot down by the US off the coast of South Carolina last weekend, was equipped with advanced surveillance equipment capable of picking up sensitive communications, an unnamed senior State Department official told the Wall Street Journal on Thursday. The Biden administration is reportedly planning to retaliate.

While China has maintained the balloon was a civilian airship that drifted off course while collecting meteorological data, the source claimed its manufacturer had a “direct relationship” with the Chinese military. It was fitted with “large” solar panels to power the extensive instrumentation on board, which allegedly included antennas, sensors and other equipment capable of intercepting communications and gathering other intelligence.

The unnamed official said the US military spent the eight days the alleged spy craft was traversing the continental US gathering information about the device, using high-altitude U2 spy planes. Authorities are also reportedly examining the debris found floating in the Atlantic Ocean.

The House and Senate are set to be briefed by military, intelligence and diplomatic officials regarding the balloon on Thursday. The newly declassified information is meant to “justify the US’s impending action” that President Joe Biden is preparing to take against “China’s surveillance program,” the outlet said.

Beijing uses similar balloons for surveillance across five continents, administration officials claimed on Wednesday. The Pentagon asserted that China had nearly doubled the size of its satellite fleet between 2018 and 2021 and now had 260 surveillance, intelligence and reconnaissance satellites monitoring the globe.

The balloon, which drifted over a nuclear missile site and other sensitive military assets, could have been carrying explosives in its multi-ton payload, US Northern Command Chief General Glen VanHerck told Politico on Monday, adding that several similar Chinese craft have flown over the US before, but the Pentagon somehow missed them.

Despite the apparent threat of explosives, the White House has said the military waited to destroy the balloon until it was over water, so as not to imperil any civilians or property with falling debris. Airspace over parts of North and South Carolina was closed, as fighter jets were finally sent to shoot it down on Saturday.

China’s Foreign Ministry has demanded the return of what was left of the balloon, reminding Biden on Tuesday that “the airship does not belong to the US – it belongs to China.”

In a symbolic rebuke of Beijing, the US House of Representatives passed a non-binding resolution condemning China’s use of the balloon on Thursday, calling the incident a "brazen violation of United States sovereignty."
