This is a quick note. For the last 2 days I’ve been trying to sort out a problem that has been plaguing my supporters and I for a long time. It is the problem of the colours and layout on my websites going all weird and not only is the layout messed up, but the text becomes unreadable because it is blue on black on History Reviewed. A similar error also hits AfricanCrisis.
For a long time I did not know precisely what was causing the problem and we looked at various things. However, in recent weeks one of my technical supporters actually found out the technical reason why this is happening. It is really good news actually, because I’ve tested it myself and I see now exactly what is going wrong.
It relates to something I’ve been trying to fix since 2018 can you believe?
Anyhow, I’ve been working on the websites and trying to sort out the technical issue.
However, while working on it, it is possible that you may have experienced weird errors on the sites and the sites may have died while I was testing things a few hours ago.
I think I cracked the problem – on a test website. If so, then in the next day or so, I might be able to fix this problem on HistoryReviewed and AfricanCrisis.
This error also affects people who use phones to view my websites.
So it won’t be long, and then this nasty, irritating problem can hopefully be put to bed for once and for all. I’m so happy someone helped me to find the actual cause.
